A new business model. Sheetz, a convenience store chain with more than 600 stores in the MidAtlantic, wanted to increase its food service efficiencies. The company decided to create a new business, Sheetz Brothers Kitchen, which would produce baked goods and ready-to-eat products fresh daily for locations across six states.
Dennis Group served as design-build partner on their first commissary venture, which included a new 140,000 SF facility as well as a 25,000 SF expansion to an existing distribution center in Pennsylvania. The campus expansions and enhancements went from design to completion in less than 12 months. During the planning stages, the team accounted for future expansion needs. As this $6 billion family-owned business continues to grow, so can its bakery.
