Packaged Cheese Greenfield

Great Lakes Cheese, a company that supplies 25% of all packaged cheese in the United States, was in search of a new site for their fourth super plant.

Dennis Group was selected to lead the identification of a location strategically positioned to add capacity for new customer acquisition in the southeastern market. Emphasized consideration was needed for cost incentives and accessibility to suppliers.

After evaluating several options, a 60-acre site, located off I-24 in Tennessee, was selected. Dennis Group provided design-build services for the 330,000 SF super plant, including a 155,000SF cold storage distribution center and a conventional single stage, two suction level refrigeration system using R-717.
