Keurig Dr Pepper purchased a 92-acre campus from Kraft-Heinz which contained a 730,000 SF distribution center. Dennis Group is providing design-build services for a new 811,000 SF manufacturing and warehouse building which will be connected by tram to the existing distribution center.
Phase 1 of the project includes four high-speed lines, operational by the close of 2020, while a future expansion of four additional lines has been planned. Utility sizing takes into account the facility at full build-out to save on costs in Phase 2.
KDP negotiated $1.5M in grants as well as an additional $1.2M in tax credits for the 400 jobs the facility is expected to add. This is the largest capital expenditure since the company’s creation following a $18.7 billion merger between Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group. It will add capacity and help optimize Northeast logistics operations for the company, supporting existing products and several new brands.
