After adding Albertsons, the second largest grocery retailer in the US, Montana-based Local Bounti acquired 28 acres in Washington to begin building the first of a planned 32-greenhouse complex as part of a multi-year expansion. Dennis Group providing engineering for the harvesting and packaging systems – currently producing seven leafy products, with plans to expand to 30 to 40 products. The facilities use of vertical, energy-efficient growing uses 90% less water and 90% less land than traditional agriculture.
