Dot’s Pretzels

Dennis Group nearly doubled pretzel production through a facility expansion integrated with ongoing operations.

As Dot’s Homestyle Pretzels continued to grow, adding production capacity for its signature braided pretzels became a top priority. Dot’s identified an opportunity to expand operations at its Edgerton, Kansas facility and partnered with Dennis Group to support the expansion. The effort included transforming existing warehouse space into a fully integrated processing area for seasoning and packaging operations.

Dennis Group supported the project from preliminary engineering through construction and start‑up. The multidisciplinary effort encompassed architectural and structural design, utilities, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, process design, packaging integration, electrical and controls, wastewater considerations, and simulation and emulation modeling.

All work was carefully planned and executed to maintain ongoing production throughout construction. In addition to the new seasoned pretzel line, the project delivered upgrades across the facility, including new training areas, locker rooms, warehouse restrooms, production offices, laboratory space, and updated receiving and shipping offices.

The completed expansion nearly doubled the facility’s production capacity, enabling Dot’s to meet increasing demand while maximizing the use of its existing footprint.
